Discover an exciting learning experience at The Eagle Mining Co. in Julian, California. This old-fashioned gold mine offers terrific and informative California adventures through the world of an 1870’s mining operation. Experience life just like the miners of old did, panning for gold and learning as you explore the Old Hardrock Tunnels that were restored to help preserve our state’s rich history to the way they were in the 1870s. Students will also learn about the tools, machinery, and old milling and extraction processes used by early Californians .
There’s gold in them thar hills! Come learn how it was mined.
Important Information:
- No late registrations or refunds will be processed after the closing date. No Exceptions
- Special Guidelines: Space is limited, first serve basis. No small children or strollers. No use of membership passes. Recommended for grades 4th-8th; but open 3rd and up.
- Note: If you have multiple Homeschool students, each Homeschool student must be registered for all Field Trips using their own designated flex fund account. Any duplicate orders for the same field trip on one student’s account will not be allowed.
- Field Trip Photography Disclaimer: Please be advised that photographs will be taken at this event for possible use on the SCS website, marketing materials, and/or all other SCS publications. If you do not want you or your child to be photographed please advise the Field Trip Coordinator.
- How to Cancel: Forward your registration confirmation email receipt to field.trips@springscs.org with a detailed notation to cancel by the deadline date indicated on each field trip.
