I taught grades 2-4 for 10 years in Long Beach Unified and San Bernardino Unified.
I taught for 1 year at the Riverside Student Center.
I have served as a Homeschool Educational Specialist for the past 8 years with Springs Charter Schools.
I have served as the Director of Mountain Christian Homeschool Co-op for the past 4 years.

Favorite Hobbies

I love to travel with my family, attend concerts and volunteer. We enjoy walking around our 3 mile loop around Lake Gregory for exercise. Both of my sons participate in the Mountain Fifes and Drums Corps, so we are quite busy with performing at area parades and events. We also enjoy camping with our Cub Scout and Boy Scout Troops.

Favorite Books

My favorite author is Francine Rivers, and I especially enjoy re-reading her Ancient Rome Mark of the Lion Trilogy. My new fave author is Lynn Austin who writes Civil War fiction.

Favorite Subject

I love to teach history at my weekly Homeschool Co-op. We have completed 3 volumes of The Story of the World, along with many of the projects.

Fun Facts

I have been married for 15 years to my wonderful husband, Craig, who is a high school math teacher and golf coach. I have 2 sons, Ian in 7th grade and Nathan in 4th grade. We live in the small town of Crestline located in the beautiful San Bernardino Mountains. A fun fact about us is that we visited Angola, Africa on a month long mission trip in 2008. It took us 11 airplane rides to get there and back!
