Guidance Counselor

Education

I received my BS in Psychology from San Diego State University. I then became a Montessori teacher in Flagstaff Arizona. Upon returning to California for my husband’s student teaching, I worked in a group home setting where I reaffirmed my passion for counseling. So, I became a substitute teacher while obtaining my Master’s in Education and Pupil Personnel Services Credential in School Counseling from Azusa Pacific University. Through a long-term substitute counseling position, I became a full-time School Counselor and Scholarship Advisor at a large comprehensive high school.

Favorite Hobbies

Hobbies… what hobbies? I have three children. I enjoy driving my Prius V to all my children’s extra-curricular activities!

Favorite Books

I enjoy classical literature from Jane Austin and Charles Dickens.

Favorite Subject

Visual and Performing Arts were my passion.

Fun Facts

I performed at a Los Angeles Rams Half time show before they went to St. Louis. I love the ocean, but I am afraid to swim in it. I enjoy helping my father with projects and I have dug post holes to fence a large property, built a cinder block courtyard, roofed a home, plus many other do-it-yourself activities.
