Permit Approved for New FAPA Facilities

Students from Springs’ Flabob Airport Preparatory Academy appeared before the Jurupa Valley Planning Commission to share their passion for the school and ask that a CUP (conditional use permit) for a new Academy facility at the Flabob Airport be approved. The Commission agreed, and approved the CUP on a 5-0 vote.

FAPA 1 FAPA 2

The new Academy facilities will include 10 classrooms attached to a multi-purpose hangar area where project work can be done and airplanes rolled in. Other features include offices, restrooms, covered lunch space, and outdoor play space.  The facility will be at the far corner of the airport, further away from the runways for our students’ safety. Parking, drop-off and pick-up will not go through the airport, but will be directly adjacent to the street. The goal is to move the FAPA students in to the new facility in the fall of 2016.
