Students in the Riverside Learning Center’s First Lego League class enjoyed a presentation on space and robotics from Tom Munnecke of NASA’s Solar System Ambassadors Program, reported Jill Collopy, a learning center teacher.
The presentation fits in with the League’s theme for 2018-19, Into Orbit, with students creating an invention that improves space exploration. Mr. Munnecke’s presentation included a discussion of the robotics technology of his Tesla car; he demonstrated how the car can be turned on with his phone, have its air conditioner turned on and drive from its parking space to meet him at his location.
