Amy Heald, principal of Springs’ La Fuente Dual Language Academy in Vista, reports that the school is moving ahead with plans to grow its middle school program.
Efforts include hiring new teachers and adding new sports programs, martial arts, art, music, and dance classes.
La Fuente serves students TK-8. As a dual language program, students learn in English and Spanish, with an emphasis on family involvement. The program incorporates learning through activities, such as cooking typical Latin and American dishes and Salsa and square dancing. The students also take many local field trips.
